Guest Friendly Hotels Patong 2024 Update: All the information below is first-hand from my last trip to Patong in 2022. I visited many hotels, spoke to staff/owners, and took new pics.
Most of the best Guest Friendly Hotels in Patong are located close to Bangla Road, the center of Phuket’s nightlife. Guest friendly hotel is a hotel that allows you to bring unregistered guests back to your hotel room without an extra charge (joiner fee).
Many hotels in Patong are not guest friendly. Some hotels charge a high joiner fee or have a strict “no guests allowed” policy. The location is also very important in Patong. There is a tuk-tuk mafia and the tuk-tuks charge 200 or more baht even for a short distance. To avoid disappointment, follow the two golden rules:
- Always book a room for two people
- Make sure your guest has an ID

(1-8) Cheap And Mid-range Guest Friendly Hotels in Patong
1. Summer Breeze Hotel $26+
✔ Summer Breeze Hotel is one of my favorite hotels and one of the best guest-friendly hotels in Patong, for sure. Top hotel and great value for money. Two minute’s walk to Bangla Road and beer bars and ten minute’s walk to the beach. Big and clean rooms with comfortable beds. Clean bathrooms and showers with hot water and good water pressure.
The aircon works really well. Free wi-fi. In-room safe, mini bar, and LCD TV. Very good food at the restaurant and an excellent breakfast. Incredibly helpful staff and friendly owner. The staff cleans the rooms quickly when you leave the room.
✖ No lift. No swimming pool.
♀ No lift, so avoid the higher floors. The staff speak good English and know everything in the area. They can help you with the activities you like. The hotel offers same-day laundry service. You can rent a motorbike directly from the hotel and avoid scams.
2. R Mar Resort and Spa $56+
✔ R Mar Resort has a very good location. Five-minute walk to Bangla Road and a ten-minute walk to the beach. Rooms are huge and clean with a minibar and free Wi-Fi. Clean bathrooms. The pool is fantastic – huge, clean, and excellent for swimming. Probably the best swimming pool of all guest-friendly hotels in Patong. There is also a good bar area. The buffet breakfast is very good, an excellent choice of Western and Asian food. Very friendly and helpful staff.
✖ Not enough plug sockets to charge up your stuff.
♀ The deluxe rooms facing the pool area are great. There is a shuttle bus to Patong Beach every hour. Very good massage places and laundry service nearby.
3. The Yorkshire Hotel $32+
✔ Excellent location right opposite the Bangla road and nightlife, a five-minute walk to the beach, and Jungceylon shopping mall is just around the corner. ATMs and money exchanges nearby. The deluxe rooms are amazing – newly renovated, big, clean, and nicely decorated with a safe and minibar. The aircon is good and quiet and the wi-fi has a good speed. Efficient staff and manager. Very nice outdoor swimming pool and a great sauna. Superb restaurant with great food. Fully equipped gym.
✖ Standard rooms are too small. Food prices are a bit high.
♀ Book a deluxe room. Try the full English breakfast.
4. Patong Hemingway’s Hotel $28+
✔ I stayed once at Patong Hemingway’s hotel. Guest-friendly hotel centrally located in the heart of Patong. Walking distance to everywhere, no need to use the overpriced tuk-tuks. Just a few minutes walk from Bangla Road nightlife, Jungceylon shopping mall, and the beach but far enough from the noise. spacious and clean rooms with large bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, cold minibar, and safe. Good aircon and hot shower with good pressure. Nice rooftop pool and bar. The downstairs restaurant has a great range of Thai and Western food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful staff.
✖ Limited parking place
♀ The three hotels have very similar names. Check the hotel name and the location in advance. Great city view from the rooftop bar.
5. Hemingways Silk Hotel $25+
✔ Hemingway’s Silk Hotel is a very good new hotel (built in 2014) in Patong. Probably the newest of all guest-friendly hotels in Patong. Good value for money. Good location. Only a five-minute walk to Bangla Road and nightlife but far enough away from the noise. Ten-minute walk to the beach. Everything is new. Huge, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Good and free Wi-Fi and in-room safe. The blinds are perfect for day sleepers. Large and clean bathrooms with great showers. Nice pool and rooftop bar. Very friendly and helpful staff.
✖ The food at the restaurant is ok but not great.
♀ The rooms at the back are more spacious. You can rent a bike right opposite the hotel. There’s also a 7/11 across the road and a good massage parlor close to the hotel.
6. @White Patong Hotel $21+
✔ I stayed once at @White Patong Hotel. It is the cheapest option on the top 10 guest-friendly hotels in Patong’s list. The top location is right opposite the eastern end of Bangla Road. Five-minute walk to the beach and the Jungceylon shopping center is just next door.
Nice and good sized rooms with comfy beds, good aircon, safe, fridge and LCD TVs. The free Wi-Fi is outstanding. Clean bathrooms. Showers with hot water and good water pressure. Great food at the lobby restaurant.
✖ Basic hotel. No lift.
♀ Ask for a lower floor if climbing steps is a problem. Some front rooms can be a little noisy but have a nice view of the street. The back rooms are quiet but have no view.
7. Aspery Hotel $26+
✔ Very guest-friendly hotel in Patong. You can bring as many girls as you want free of charge. Two girls at the same time, no problem! Located on a quiet soi. Five-minute walk to the beach. Nice, clean rooms with new furniture, clean bathrooms, aircon, led TV, in-room safe, and excellent Wi-Fi. Nice rooftop pool. Friendly and helpful staff.

8. Safari Beach Hotel $56+
✔ The Safari Beach Hotel has a great location right between Bangla Road and Patong Beach (a 3-minute walk). It is the closest hotel to the beach of all the top guest-friendly hotels on Patong’s list. It’s a party hotel, not for light sleepers. The hotel is not new but it is clean and everything works. Clean and large rooms with balconies, free Wi-Fi, and good aircon. Good minibar. The pool is very good for swimming. Comfy sun loungers and towels are provided. The staff is exceptionally friendly. Very nice breakfast.
✖ Can be noisy at night. During the evening you can hear the music from Bangla Road.
♀ If you are a light sleeper ask for а quiet room.
(9-10) Luxury Guest-Friendly Hotels Patong
9. BYD Lofts Boutique Hotel & Serviced Apartment $86+
✔ It’s hard to find a luxury guest-friendly hotel in Patong within walking distance of Bangla Road. One of the few exceptions is BYD Lofts Boutique Hotel. The hotel has only 4 stars but it’s more like a 5-star hotel. It’s not cheap but you really get what you pay for.
The hotel is located far enough away from the noise of the nightlife, but only a fifteen-minute walk from Bangla Road. Five-minute walk to Patong beach. Very comfortable, modern, spotlessly clean, and well-furnished apartments with huge and comfortable beds. Fully equipped kitchens and large balconies. Beautiful bathrooms with powerful walk-in showers. Fridge, coffee machine, safe, DVD player, smart TVs, fast and free wi-fi. Nice rooftop pool. Great breakfast. Polite and friendly staff and owner.
✖ No gym
♀ All apartments are great. Try the in-room oil massage. There are gyms, pharmacies, tailors, laundries, massage places, and 7/11 stores all within two minute’s walk.
10. Prince Edouard Resort $76+
✔ Prince Edouard is one of the few guest-friendly resorts in Patong. It’s a nice colonial-style resort with wonderful service. Very quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle of Patong. Magnificent view of the city and sea.
Spacious and clean rooms and apartments with nice furniture, free Wi-Fi, good aircon, and in-room safe. The swimming pool is amazing. Great breakfast.
✖ Very far from Bangla Road and the beach. You need to take a tuk-tuk.
♀ The famous No.6 restaurant is within walking distance.
